The Giving Pledge

Stelios today joins the group of philanthropists led by Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who pledge to give the majority of their wealth to charity. This group of individuals called www.givingpledge.org which was started in 2010 now has 168 signatories from 21 countries. Stelios is the first Greek/Cypriot & the first resident of Monaco to join this group.
For clarity, each individual philanthropist choses how to spend their own wealth in a charitable manner and Stelios will donate half his wealth to his own foundation.
The giving pledge does not receive any money from the signatories. The long terms objective of the Stelios foundation is to carry on with the existing projects known to the people who live in the UK, Greece, Cyprus and Monaco in perpetuity using the benefit of this donation.
