Sir Stelios returned to his alma mater the London School of Economics today to meet staff and students in a “fireside chat” about his career and achievements.
He attended the prestigious university from 1984 to 1987, graduating with a BSc in Economics, and the school plays a significant part in his philanthropic work.
An audience of around 350 attended the talk by the creator and owner of the easy family of brands, who also took time to meet and chat to some of the “Stelios Scholars” he has sponsored over the past two decades.
For 20 years, the LSE Stelios Scholarship has been improving access to a world- class education for students from the UK, Greece, Cyprus and other European countries at the University.
In celebrating this remarkable milestone, the LSE proudly recognises Sir Stelios’s friendship and all that he and the Stelios Philanthropic Fund have done to shape the lives of our incredible community of Stelios Scholars, who have in turn gone on to shape the world.
Professor Larry Kramer, President and Vice-Chancellor of the LSE, said:

The ‘Stelios Scholars’ have flourished in their careers following their time at LSE.
The majority have pursued employment in the accounting, banking or finance sector, or within business, consultancy and management, whilst numerous others have explored a wider variety of sectors.
The valuable support they gained from the LSE Stelios Scholarship has undoubtedly helped them progress with their successful careers.
