The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation launched the “Food from Heart” programme in May 2013 in Cyprus during the economic crisis, aimed at supporting people in a difficult economic situation. In 2014, the initiative also began in Greece. At the 12 distribution points of the initiative in Greece and Cyprus, they have been distributed a total of 11 million snacks from 2013 until today.
Since the beginning of the programme, “Food from the heart” offers a free snack and a heartbeat to people who really need it without any racial, religious and social discrimination. In this way, a large number of people who are struggling with difficult economic conditions, are meeting their basic daily dietary needs.
