New record of participations for Stelios Bi – Communal Awards 2017. Applications closing tomorrow, Friday the 7th of July 2017.
The interest of Greek and Turkish Cypriots to participate in the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards 2017 exceeded each precedent, as the number of participants to date, is over 270. The new record is a demonstration of the trust between the two communities and their desire for cooperation and peaceful coexistence -during a period when historic talks between the two leaders are taking place, in Crans Montanta, Switzerland, to resolve the Cyprus dispute.
Applications for the awards organised for the 9th consecutive year by Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, are closing tomorrow, Friday 7 July 2017.
Applications are only accepted on the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation Facebook page, and any form of cooperation between Greek and Turkish Cypriots is eligible, from arts and sport to business and NGO work, as well as partners in life.
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou is offering for the first time the highest ever annual sum of €750,000. Sir Stelios will be in Nicosia this coming October to award the 75 winner-teams with €10,000 each. Since 2009 a grand total of €2.75 million has been awarded with the aim of promoting a lasting peace on the island.
