City University’sCass Business Schoolplayed host todonorswho have given to help students finance their one-year course, at the internationally renowned centre of excellence.
easyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s Philanthropic Foundation already funds 10 students per annum to study for a post-graduate degree with extra places to be allocated following a fund raise last year from past Stelios scholars.
Speeches of welcome and thanks were given by Professor David Bolton – deputy director, David Street – director of alumni relations as well as Carolina Herrera, an award winning music student who said she could not have enjoyed a Cass education without donors’ generosity.
The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation was represented by Tracy Ghori and Richard Shackleton along with 2016/17 scholars Dimosthenis Gkizas, Maria Katsiolidou, Georgios Avraam, Christos Sortsis and Rihards Buliga.
