Talented Leeds businessman wins Sir Stelios prize for UK's top disabled entrepreneur

A 31-year-old Leeds-based entrepreneur who was told he wouldn't live past 30, has won the prestigious Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs 2014 run by EasyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and the charity Leonard Cheshire Disability.

Ben Wolfenden received a £50,000 cash prize to help grow his business, Visibilis, at a special awards ceremony in London this evening.

LSE welcomes its Stelios Scholars and Foundation representatives

Nearly 20 Stelios Scholars were on hand tonight to hear colleagues as well as their sponsors describe the life-changing prospect of studying at the world famous School. Director Craig Calhoun said his thanks were not enough to reward donors' generosity and hoped the students would justify the charity by "giving back" in the future.

who graduated yesterday from City University's Cass Business School. The ceremony took place at London's Guildhall in the presence of the Vice Chancellor Professor Paul Curran, Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor John Fothergill and the Dean of the School Professor Steve Haberman.
