The Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs in the UK- administered in partnership with Leonard Cheshire Disability - rewards those with disabilities who have demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and business ability in the face of significant barriers. The overall winner wins £30,000 & an additional 4 shortlisted applicants win £10,000 each.
Five finalists handpicked by Sir Stelios each win £10,000
Companies on the shortlist are Mobiloo, MentalSnapp, Evenbreak, Review My Wheelchair and Katherine Fortnum Ceramics.
Winner will win a further £20,000 at an award ceremony on 14 November 2017
easyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and leading international charity Leonard Cheshire Disability announced today the five finalists for the Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs 2017. Each has won £10,000 and now has a chance to win a further £20,000.
A record amount of over 70 candidates applied for the Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs this year. The applications came from diverse business arenas, including fashion, retail, sport and leisure and tourism.

A ceramics maker and teacher from Market Harborough has overcome a brain haemorrhage as a teenager to win a national prize. Katherine Fortnum (27), a former Robert Smyth pupil, is one of just five finalists in the national Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs 2017.
EasyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and leading international charity Leonard Cheshire Disability announced today Alex Papanikolaou from Glasgow is the winner of the Stelios Award for disabled entrepreneurs 2016 and the £30,000 prize money.

· Companies on the shortlist include: app for restaurant menus, portable gyms for wheelchair users, inclusive training and community engagement, and sports facilities for disabled people.
· Winner will win a further £20,000 at an award ceremony on 10 November 2016
Record number of applicants for this year's Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs in the UK, in partnership with Leonard Cheshire Disability! The winners will be announced on November the 10th, 2016! We wish good luck to all the applicants!
In a few hours the £50,000 award will go to one of the three finalists of 2015's Stelios UK Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs run by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and the charity Leonard Cheshire Disability.
