Stelios Foundation steps in to help Phillipine storm victims - 11 Feb 2014

11th February 2014

Patsy Zobel de Ayala, the Philippine Consul-General to the Monaco Principality reports on how donations from the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation and others are helping victims of the typhoon that hit the island of Leyte last November.

"I am happy to report that we have managed to distribute 500 shelter kits in the villages of Haro and San Rafael. We were able to provide more shelter kits as we were able to purchase the materials for a unit price of €121 euros instead of the €250 euros that we were originally quoted.

The final distribution is being handled by the Habitat relief agency right now, and as soon as they have finished, we will send you a final report with pictures."
