Stelios drops into Limassol FFTH

13th October 2014

The Limassol branch of Food from the Heart, the charitable project run by easyJet founder, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou got a surprise visit. Staff and beneficiaries chatted with the philanthropist as he handed out free lunchtime snacks to the needy.

The three outlets there plus two more in Nicosia and Athens have handed out more than 250,000 lunchtime snacks and his Philanthropic Foundation, has passed the 250,000 mark in offering a free lunchtime snack to the needy in Greece and Cyprus. Numbers are growing fast as there seems no let up to the economic crisis in the Eurozone.

Launched back in May 2013 from a single base in Limassol, - Food from the Heart now has nearly 2000 recipients registered to the five distribution centres.
