Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou was on hand earlier today at the opening of the WWF's brand new UK headquarters in Woking, Surrey. The easyJet founder joined world-renowned naturalist Sir David Attenborough (pictured above) and other VIP guests for a ceremony to mark the international environment charity's latest stage of development.

Earlier, Sir Stelios inspected the new meeting room in the complex sponsored by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation. The "Coral Triangle" room can be used for small meetings and as a breakout area.(pictured below with Stelios and Ed Smith - WWF UK Chair).

Sitting on a raised podium, the Centre has two floors. Immediately inside visitors will find the WWF Experience for the public - an exciting, interactive area designed by Jason Bruges Studio. These four specially-constructed Experience Zones are themed around forests, rivers, oceans and wildlife; the story of human interaction with the natural world will be woven around and through the Experience.

Also on the ground floor is the Learning Zone for school visits, and behind that the open-plan working area. The mezzanine floor also has working space, as well as an auditorium available for use by other groups or organisations.
