Espen Barth Eide addressing Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots at the Bi-communal Café of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation on March 24th
Special Adviser of the Secretary-General on Cyprus Mr Espen Barth Eide will be the Guest speaker on the first, for 2016, get-together between Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities, at the Bi-communal Café of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, in Old Nicosia Town, on Thursday, March 24th, 2016, between 4:30pm and 6pm.
Mr Espen Barth Eide responds for a second consecutive year, to an invitation to visit the Bi-communal Café and speak at an open event for the public. Mr Eide will be addressing members of the two communities and will identify why 2016 can be a year of hope and opportunity for Cyprus.
Followers of the Stelios Cyprus Bi-Communal Awards 2016 group in Facebook, which so far has exceeded 800 members, expressed their strong interest to attend this event. Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots declare their participation via Facebook in order to secure a place in the event with Espen Barth Eide at the Bi-Communal café in Nicosia.
In unison, the number of submissions for this year’s Bi-Communal Awards is increasing, an institution held for the eighth consecutive year and the total amount of € 500,000 will be offered to the winners.
