Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou today granted 31 cash prizes of €10,000 to Greek-Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots helping to build the island's bi-communal relations. This is a charity project working for lasting peace on the island.

New date set for the Bi-Communal Awards in Nicosia, Cyprus!

New date: 26th October 2015 at 11am

1. Stelios invites both the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot leaders to attend! A celebration for peace on the island!

2. The 30 winning bi-communal teams for this year are being announced in advance below to allow a smoother ceremony on the day.

3. Stelios raises the stakes of the donations for next year to 500k euro going to 50 bi-communal teams for 2016 (previously 300k euro going to 30 teams). Total grants to date 2m euro.

4. Second Bi-communal cafe to open in North Nicosia in early 2016.

UN special envoy to Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide last night urged islanders from both communities to seize the initiative and reach for a lasting peace. He was speaking at a special event at Nicosia's Bi-Communal café recently opened by easyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou's philanthropic foundation.

Food From The Heart hits the 1 million mark hits the 1 million mark

Sir Stelios' "Food From The Heart" program today clocked up the donation of its one millionth snack to people in need. Since the financial crisis engulfed the Mediterranean there has been a growing demand for help as unemployment has plunged thousands of families into difficulty. For the last 18 months, Food From The Heart has provided a daily lunchtime snack to all those who register with the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation - on "a no questions asked" basis.
