Stelios Haji-Ioannou's charitable programme "Food from the heart" constantly expands its work.It has been offering, since its inception three years ago, 5,000,000 snacks "from the heart" through 21 distribution points in Greece and Cyprus. It is worth noting that the most recent distribution point opened 5 month ago, in Evripidou Street in Athens, already serves 2,200 people daily.

Stelios_Cyprus_Award_2016__HQ_Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou will be granting on Tuesday October 25, 2016, at 9.30am, 50 cash prizes of €10,000 at Chateau Status in Nicosia to Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots as an endeavor to consolidate the island's bi-communal relations. The Stelios Bi-Communal Award Ceremony will be held in the presence of President Nicos Anastasiades.



Tomorrow, at Nicosia, Sir Stelios will host a dinner for the 430 Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots who have expressed their interest for the competition.

The interest of Greek and Turkish Cypriots to participate in the 8th Stelios Bi-Communal Awards 2016 exceeded each precedent. This year, the number of contenders for the awards doubled reaching 215, which is a new participation record for Stelios Awards.

Stelios Philanthropic Foundation organizes for an eighth consecutive year the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards 2016 and submission of applications is now open through Facebook.

The total amount for this year's awards is greater than ever after Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou will be offering for the first time € 500.000, rewarding a total of 50 teams that can win €10.000 each, with a total amount of two million euros been awarded since 2009.

All forms of human cooperation between Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots are eligible to apply through Facebook, including business, sciences, arts, sport, NGO work and life! The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in October 2016 in Nicosia.

The deadline for application submission through Facebook is the 15th of July, 2016.
