Submissions of applications now open via Facebook for Stelios Awards 2016

Stelios Philanthropic Foundation organizes for an eighth consecutive year the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards 2016 and submission of applications is now open through Facebook.

The total amount for this year's awards is greater than ever after Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou will be offering for the first time € 500.000, rewarding a total of 50 teams that can win €10.000 each, with a total amount of two million euros been awarded since 2009.

All forms of human cooperation between Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots are eligible to apply through Facebook, including business, sciences, arts, sport, NGO work and life! The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in October 2016 in Nicosia.

The deadline for application submission through Facebook is the 15th of July, 2016.

Lord Nelson's 30th Anniversary

lord_nelsons_an_5Representatives for the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation were on hand yesterday to celebrate the rededication of a sailing barque, specially designed to give disabled people an experience of sea adventures. Tracy Ghori and Richard Shackleton heard HRH Prince Andrew describe the three-masted “Lord Nelson” and his professional crew as “ground breakers in the drive to tear down the barriers that keep the disabled from enjoying life to the maximum.”

The property is at 10, Evripidou St. 10554, near Klafthmonos square, nearest Metro station Omonoia/Panepistimio.
We are looking for an independent contractor to operate the new distribution point.
